Biographical Details: Neil Littlewood
I trained as a master scenic artist and theatre stage designer under a national scholarship with the Arts Council of Great Britain in the 1960’s, whilst I was employed by the Royal Shakespeare Theatre as an apprentice props craftsman.
During the 1970’s, I diversified my career as an history of art lecturer with my courses; ‘From Abstraction to Emptiness / The Artistic Perception of Space – East, West’, at University of London, Goldsmiths Collage of Art and other collages in Britain. I have also worked for four years as P.A. to Halima Nalecz, director of Drian Galleries, Marble Arch, London and in remedial arts therapy at Charing Cross Psychiatric Unit, Hammersmith, London as well as forming and running co-operative Ltd, public art galleries.
My two sons live and work in London and my daughter is a scenic artist on international film sets in Australia, where she is resident.
